Honda Amaze Review

There was a time when the sub-four-metre sedan segment used to be dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Later on, the Honda Amaze came into the picture and tried to give a tight competition to the Suzuki Dzire, but the market transited to the SUV segment. The pre-facelift of the ongoing model made its debut in 2018. Fast-forwarding to 2021, the Honda Amaze received subtle cosmetic updates. The Honda Amaze has three trims – E, S, and VX.

So, what does it have to offer? Let’s read the Honda Amaze review.

The Appearance: Looks and Dimensions

The Honda Amaze's exterior gets subtle styling updates like the redesigned front chrome grille with chrome garnish, LED headlamps, and LED taillights. It also gets a revised front and rear bumper. The dimensions of the Honda Amaze measure 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width, and 1498mm in height, and it has a 2470mm wheelbase. The 2021 Honda Amaze has a ground clearance of 170mm. Now, let's hop on the interior to see if it can 'AMAZE' us or not in this Honda Amaze review.

Inside the Cabin: Features and Design

The Honda Amaze interior remains unchanged like the pre-facelift. The dual-tone interior theme gives a premium yet airy feel to it. The fabric upholstery, rear and front power windows, and rear parking sensors are standard across all the variants. However, except for the base variant, the second base variant, S, gets an integrated 2-DIN audio system. The flagship variant of the Honda Amaze features an engine start/stop button, keyless entry, automatic climate control, power boot, remote trunk opener, power boot, cruise control, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among others.

What powers the Honda Amaze?

As far as the Honda Amaze specifications are concerned, it offers a 1.2litre i-VTEC (petrol) engine which produces 88bhp at 6000rpm and 110Nm of torque at 4800rpm. The 1.5litre i-DTEC (diesel) turbocharged engine, on the other hand, produces 98bhp at 3600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1750rpm. Unlike the diesel-manual combination, the diesel-CVT produces 80bhp at 3600rpm and 160Nm of torque at 1750rpm.

The Honda Amaze transmission includes a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed CVT.
