Maruti Baleno facelift bookings open/ Maruti Baleno facelift: All there’s to know

Maruti Suzuki has begun bookings for the Baleno Facelift against a token amount of Rs. 11,000 confirming that the hatchback will be launched in the Indian market pretty soon. The Baleno has been one of Maruti Suzuki’s front runners for sales chart every month. In the month of December 2021, Baleno was the third highest selling vehicle for the month behind its siblings the Maruti Suzuki WagonR at the first position and the Swift in the second position. Now, the Baleno has been updated with more technology to keep up with the competitive segment and have an upper hand instead.

With the updates in check, Maruti Suzuki is launching the Baleno facelift soon and has begun accepting official bookings for the same against a token amount of Rs. 11,000. Once the Baleno facelift hits the domestic market, it will mark the first launch for the company for 2022.


Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift: Features

Maruti will offer halogen projector headlights, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, auto climate control, dual airbags, in the Sigma trim whereas the Delta variant gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android auto and Apple CarPlay along with steering mounted controls. That’s not all as the AMT variants also get hill start assist and ESP.

Although, one of the biggest features upgrade is the addition of a heads-up display that will give information such as speed of the vehicle, gear, time and information from the climate control system. The carmaker has also introduced, for the first time, the 9-inch HD touchscreen by ARKAMYS that might be offered in the higher variants.


Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift: Engine

Under the hood, the Baleno facelift will carry the engine from the model it replaces and that is the 1.2-litre K12B and K12C engines. While the former produces 89bhp, the latter, assisted by a 12V mild-hybrid setup churns out 89bhp of peak power. Both engines produce a peak torque of 113Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed manual gearbox on both engines while the K12B is offered with a CVT. Maruti might just offer the AMT with the Baleno facelift, much like the Dzire and Swift.


Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift: Price


The Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift price, in comparison to the existing model, is expected to go up Rs. 25,000. Currently, it retails between Rs. 6.14 lakh and 9.66 lakh, (both ex-showroom).
